Youth Appreciation Ceremony
The Youth Appreciation Ceremony celebrates young change makers driving impact in their communities.
In 2023, 5 youth leaders were awarded for their contributions to community empowerment.
In 2024, the number grew to 7 youth leaders, each nominated by their own communities for outstanding leadership and initiative.
Chill & Chat Series
Bringing together refugee and local youth from Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan, Sudan, South Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Myanmar, Palestine, Iraq, Malaysia, and Rohingya communities to share stories, celebrate cultures, and build friendships across differences. More than 110 youth have attended and actively participated in the Chill & Chat series.
All PSU Youth Events stem from findings in the 2023 Youth Challenges Needs Assessment, where refugee youth identified a lack of connection, collaboration, and shared spaces between communities.

In response, PSU designed programs that celebrate leadership, foster dialogue, and strengthen partnerships, creating pathways for youth to connect, learn, and lead together across differences.
